The client approached us requesting a development planning approval with the idea of transforming the current car dealership into a hand car wash all while keeping the original and base structure of the building. The workshop will be redesigned into four vacuuming and cleaning areas and two car wash areas. The main showroom will be redesigned into a customer waiting area. The storeroom, office, and lunchroom will maintain the same design.
Since the client wanted to use the existing structure, all carwash requirements will be fitted into that existing design. For car wash bays, we designed the location for the oil-water separators, pump, and removable grate frame for the silt pump. In addition to that, parking spots and a traffic management plan has been designed and included in the planning approval.
Since we have had extensive experience in designing car washes, we have accumulated significant knowledge about the requirements for development of car washes. We also know what clients are after and in this situation, we helped the client with design advice, sticking to a budget and keeping all the original structural design.
